This antibody can be used in ELISA, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) and Western blot analysis. It recognizes Major Histocompatibility Complex class I (MHC, human leukocyte antigen) MHC class I is a dimmer composed of two polypeptide chains, an a chain (44 kDa) and a non-covalently associated protein, b2 microglobulin (12 kDa). The antibody reacts with a monomorphic epitope on the a chain polypeptide of human class I HLA molecules (HLA-A,B,C).
