      • Overview

        • Amino-dPEG®2-t-butyl ester, product number 10264, is a monodispersed polyethylene glycol (PEG) crosslinker. A primary amino group and a tert-butyl ester-protected propionic acid group terminate opposite ends of the crosslinking reagent. The terminal amine reacts with carboxylates to form amide bonds and with aldehydes and ketones to form semi-labile, reducible Schiff bases. The tert-butyl ester protecting group removes easily with trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), leaving the propionic acid free to react with amines or form an active ester with N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) or 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenol (TFP).
