Amino-dPEG®₄-OH

Amino-dPEG®4-OH, product number 10249, also known as Amino-dPEG®4-alcohol, is a short, monodisperse PEGylation reagent. This non-immunogenic, single molecular weight polyethylene glycol (PEG) reagent has a discrete-length chain. Therefore, it is sold under the dPEG® tradename. By reacting the amine end of this product with free carboxylates, this extremely hydrophilic PEGylation reagent modifies biomolecules and surfaces with appropriate functional groups.

PEGylation with dPEG® Products
Typical PEGylation reagents are disperse polymers. Such polymers are complex mixtures of different chain lengths and molecular weights. Conjugates made with non-uniform polymers are challenging to analyze.

In contrast, our dPEG® products are single molecular weight products with discrete PEG chain lengths. Although our products are monodispersed, we do not purify PEG from a polymer mixture. Instead, we synthesize our products as single molecules from high purity starting materials. Consequently, our monodisperse PEGylation reagents are superior to other types of PEGylation reagents.
