Ald-Ph-PEG2-NHS is a PEG derivative containing a benzaldehyde moiety and an NHS group. The benzaldehyde can react with primary amines. The NHS group can also participate in reactions with amine groups. The hydrophilic PEG chain increases the water solubility of the compound in aqueous environments.
