          Background

Engineered bacteria culture media are specialized media used for cultivating genetically modified microorganisms (engineered bacteria). These media provide the essential nutrients, energy sources, and optimal environmental conditions required for the growth and reproduction of these strains. The specific composition of the media may vary depending on the species of the engineered bacteria and its intended application.
The Aiculture® engineered bacteria product line includes a diverse range of dehydrated culture media and media raw materials. Featuring premium quality and outstanding performance, these products deliver industry-leading plasmid yields.

Features of Aiculture® Engineered Bacteria Media and Raw Materials:
          • Higher plasmid yields
          • A wide variety of product types

Basic Components of Engineered Bacteria Media:
Carbon sources: Provide energy (e.g., glucose, lactose, glycerol, etc.)
Nitrogen sources: Provide nitrogen (e.g., tryptone, yeast extract, urea, etc.)
Inorganic salts: Provide essential minerals (e.g., phosphates, sulfates, chlorides, etc.)
Vitamins and amino acids: Serve as supplementary growth factors, particularly for engineered strains with complex nutritional requirements.
Buffering agents: Maintain pH stability within the culture medium (e.g., phosphate buffers).
