          C-8 Substituted Purine amidites and Supports:

          The Bromo group in Adenosine and Guanosine at C-8 position is photo labile in nature. 8-Bromo deoxy Adenosine phosphoramidite has been incorporated into synthetic DNA as a means to create a site which can be photo-activated after duplex formation. Such DNA or RNA probes containing 8-Bromo Adenosine or Guanosine could thus be useful to determine specific contact in protein-DNA complexes.1
