Zotatifin is a selective inhibitor of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4A (eIF4A). Zotatifin acts by interfering with the translation of genes FGFR1/2 and HER2. Zotatifin is medically relevant for its potential antineoplastic activity and it has been tested against the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
