The Ultrasensitive PAPP-A ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of PAPP-A in serum. EDTA or Heparin cannot be used in this assay due to significant interferences. The measurement of cardiac markers is essential for diagnosis, risk assessment and medical treatment of patients with acute coronary syndromes (ACS). In the last years increasing evidence was given that PAPP-A, a well-known marker for 1.Trimester Down-Syndrom Screening, is also increased in ACS patients, in particular in patients with instable coronary artery plaques. Importantly, elevated PAPP-A levels were also found in ACS patients with cTnI and/or CRP negative outcome. PAPP-A is therefore an independent marker for risk assessment and diagnosis in patients with ACS.
The Ultrasensitive PAPP-A ELISA is for Research Use Only. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
