Product characteristics
• Sodium Hyaluronate (CAS Number: 9067-32-7) is a naturally occurring biopolymer composed of repeating disaccharide units of glucuronic acid and N-acetylglucosamine
• Sodium Hyaluronate is a sodium salt of hyaluronic acid. It is extracted from cocks’ combs or obtained by Streptococcus sp by fermentation. It is a polysaccharide made up of repeating units of Glucuronic acids and N-Acetyl glucosamine. The molecular weight of Sodium Hyaluronate varies from 7000 Da – 13,000,000 Da with high viscosity
• Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid and is typically available in powder or aqueous solution form
THERAPEUTIC PROPERTIES
• Sodium Hyaluronate’s high viscoelasticity, biocompatibility and non-immunogenicity have led to its use in ophthalmic, nasal, pulmonary, intra-articular and dermal applications
• Sodium Hyaluronate injection is used to treat knee pain in patients with osteoarthritis. It is also used as an aid in ophthalmic surgery acting as aqueous and vitreous humour
