Protease activated receptor 2 (PAR2) agonist.
SLIGKV-NH2 is a protease-activated receptor 2 (PAR2) agonist with a Ki of 9.64 μM and an IC50 of 10.4 μM. SLIGKV-NH2 corresponds to the tethered ligand exposed by trypsin cleavage of PAR-2 and like other peptides corresponding to the tethered ligand sequences of the thrombin receptor and PAR-2 receptor is a full agonist and can be used to investigate receptor function. SLIGKV-NH2 stimulates lactoferrin and IL-8 secretion from human neutrophils.
