TACO1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Translationalactivator of mitochondrially encoded cytochrome c oxidase I (TACO1) belongs tothe TACO1 family. TACO1 is a mitochondrial protein which functions as atranslational activator of mitochondrially-encoded cytochrome c oxidase 1. Mutationsin this gene are associated with Leigh syndrome.
