- Overview
  - TEN1 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single polypeptide chain containing 146 amino acids (1-123) and having a molecular mass of 16.2kDa. TEN1 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. TEN1 is part of a complex that binds to single-stranded DNA and is necessary in order to protect telomeres from DNA degradation (CST complex). The CST complex binds single-stranded DNA with high affinity in a sequence-independent mode, while isolated subunits bind DNA with low affinity by themselves. Further to telomere protection, the CST complex has most likely a more general part in DNA metabolism at non-telomeric sites.

    Storage
    
    Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
