  - STEAP4 Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single,non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 188 amino acids (1-152 a.a) andhaving a molecular mass of 20.6kDa. STEAP4 is fused to a 36 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. STEAP Family Member 4(STEAP4) is a member of the STEAP (six transmembrane epithelial antigen ofprostate) family, resides in the golgi apparatus. STEAP4 act as ametalloreductase which has the ability to reduce both Fe(3+) to Fe(2+) andCu(2+) to Cu(1+),using NAD(+) as acceptor. According to studies in mice andhuman it is possible that STEAP4 may involve in adipocyte development andmetabolism, and also contribute to the normal biology of the prostate cell.
