- Overview
  - PRRX1 Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 241 amino acids (1-217 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 26.9kDa. PRRX1 is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. PRRX1is part of the paired family of homeobox proteins. PRRX1 functions as atranscription co-activator, enhancing the DNA-binding activity of serum responsefactor, a protein required for the induction of genes by growth anddifferentiation factors. PRRX1 also regulates muscle creatine kinase, andtherefore has a part in the establishment of diverse mesodermal muscle types. Theprotein binds to an A/T-rich element in the muscle creatine enhancer. Among thediseases associated with PRRX1 are agnathia-otocephaly complex, and pleomorphicliposarcoma.

    Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
