PAX9(Paired box protein Pax-9) belongs to the paired box (PAX) family of transcriptionfactors. Members of PAX9 family typically contain a paired box domain, anoctapeptide, and a paired-type homeodomain. These genes play critical rolesduring fetal development and cancer growth.
