MECOM Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 192 amino acids (1-169 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 21.1kDa. MECOM is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. MDS1 is a transcriptional regulator and oncoprotein which takes part in hematopoiesis, development, cell differentiation, apoptosis and proliferation. MDS1 is able to interact with CTBP1, SMAD3, CREBBP, KAT2B, MAPK8, and MAPK9. Overexpression, as a result of translocation with the AML1 gene, is known to cause leukemia. A number of transcript variants encoding several different isoforms were found.
