KRAS 2A Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 210 amino acids (1-186 a.a) and having a molecular mass of 23.8kDa. KRAS 2A is fused to a 24 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Kirsten Rat Sarcoma Viral Oncogene, Isoform 2A (KRAS-2A) belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. The KRAS-2A protein is involved in a variety of malignancies, including lung adenocarcinoma, mucinous adenoma, ductal carcinoma of the pancreas and colorectal carcinoma. Ras family members impact cell growth and differentiation events in a subcellular membrane compartmentalization-based signaling system under normal conditions. Oncogenic Ras can deregulate processes which control both cell proliferation and apoptosis.
