Determination of occult blood in urine is helpful to detect hemorrhagic lesions of gastrointestinal tract and renal disturbances. However, the chemical methods usually applied often give quasi-positive or quasi-negative results due to the various interfering substances in urine which are non-specifically reactive in the chemical analyses. This reagent can specifically detect occult blood with a high level of sensitivity based on the EIA method with a specific antibody to rat hemoglobin.
The Rat Hemoglobin ELISA is for Research Use Only. The Rat Hemoglobin ELISA is not for use in diagnostic procedures. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
