      • Overview
        • Protein A Plates 96-Well Strip Plates: Designed with 12 strips of 8 wells on a rigid frame, preventing misorientation for consistent and accurate assays.

Protein A Plates are specifically designed to capture IgG, either directly or as part of antibody/antigen complexes. The Protein A surface offers an alternative to traditional passive adsorption methods for immobilizing antibodies in ELISA and other plate-based assays. Protein A binds specifically to the Fc region of immunoglobulins from various mammalian species, leaving the F(ab)2 binding sites free for efficient interaction with epitopes.

The Protein A Coated 96-Well Plates enable specific and sterically oriented binding of IgG, making them ideal for a variety of applications. These include the separation of IgG from other immunoglobulins or contaminants, isolation of antigen-antibody complexes, and the analysis and isolation of fusion proteins. Additionally, the plates can be used for the detection and identification of red cell antibodies, particularly when using U-bottom plates, providing a versatile tool for advanced immunoassays and protein analysis.

Protein A Coated Plates are pre-blocked in order to minimize any non-specific binding and to ensure long-term stability.

Protein A Coated Plates are available in clear, white, and black polystyrene in Breakable Strip, Strip and Solid format. They are suitable for ELISA, Luminescence, Fluorescence, and Chemiluminescent assays.

          Background

Protein A Coated Surface is designed for the capture of IgG applied directly or as an antibody/antigen complex.
Protein A Coated Surface provides an alternative to direct, passive adsorption methods for immobilizing antibodies for ELISA and other plates-based assay techniques.

Protein A specifically binds the Fc region of immunoglobulins of many mammalian species (see Table 1) with an orientation that allows the F(ab)2 binding sites to be freely available for efficient binding to epitope. When coated on a surface, the Protein A can securely capture IgG applied directly or as antigen/antibody complexes.
