Product Description:
Poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) (PVDF-HFP) is a hydrophobic crystalline copolymer with excellent properties such as good thermal stability, high polarity, ionic conductivity, and good solvent resistance.
Application:
Owing to its high polarity, wettability by organic solvents, and relatively high ionic conductivity, PVDF-HFP is widely used as a polymer matrix to prepare gel polymer electrolytes for energy storage applications. For example, it can be used to enhance the performance of flexible solid-state supercapacitors.
It can be used to prepare superhydrophobic polymer nanocomposites. For example, PVDF-HFP- SiO2 composite can be used to enhance the thermochromism in regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene), P3HT.
It can also be used to prepare lead-free piezoelectric flexible polymer composites for nanogenerators. PVDF-HFP can be preferred over other polymer matrices because of its higher solubility, greater free volume, and better mechanical strength. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
