Endogenous OX1 and OX2 receptor agonist.
Orexin B (mouse) is an endogenous agonist at orexin receptors, which preferentially activates OX2 over OX1. Orexin B (mouse) stimulates food consumption in a similar manner to orexin A, but with a shorter duration of action. Orexin B (mouse) is also involved in the sleep-wake cycle and hypothalamic functions.
