Niobium ditelluride is a layered, semiconducting material with interesting electronic and optical properties. It belongs to the family of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) and has been investigated for its potential in optoelectronic devices. NbTe2 thin films deposited by sputtering have been studied for their use in photodetectors, thermoelectric devices, and as a platform for exploring novel electronic phenomena.
