      • Applications
        • Application Description
The recombinant pro-MT1-MMP deletion mutant allows investigation of mechanisms of MT1-MMP activation. The MT1-MMP catalytic domain obtained upon activation is used to study the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins and the conversion of progelatinase A (matrix metalloproteinase 2) to active gelatinase A. MT1-MMP allows screening of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitors.
