INHBC Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 139 amino acids (237-352) and having a molecular mass of 14.9kDa. INHBC is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. INHBC, the beta C chain of inhibin, belongs to the TGF-beta superfamily. INHBC formulates heterodimers with beta A and beta B subunits. Other members of the TGF-beta superfamily are Activins and Inhibins, hormones with contradictory roles which take part in pituitary, hypothalamic, and gonadal hormone secretion, as well as differentiation and growth of numerous cell types.
