HO-PEG-CH2COOH, MW 5K is a PEG derivative containing hydroxyl group and terminal carboxylic acid moieties. The hydroxyl group can further react to derivatize the compound. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amines with activators such as EDC and DCC to form stable amide bonds. The hydrophilic PEG linker enhances the water solubility properties of the compound.
