Hams F-10 Without L-Glutamine is a Classic Basic Medium. Ham's F-10 Nutrient Mixture was initially developed in 1963 by Ham for the serum-free culture of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells and has since been used for a variety of cell culture applications. It has been found suitable for the culture of human diploid cells, clonal culture of cells under low serum conditions, normal culture of mammalian cells, chromosome analysis of white blood cells, and primary cell culture of rats, rabbits, chickens and other animals. Ham's F-10 has high nutrient content and has amino acids, vitamins, inorganic sales, and other ingredients required for cell culture, however, it should be used in combination with serum or serum-free additives as it does not contain proteins, lipids, or growth factors.
