GMTrans Lipid Nucleic Acid Transfection Reagent is a versatile lipid-based transfection reagent suitable for the transfection of DNA, RNA, and oligonucleotides, demonstrating high transfection efficiency in most eukaryotic cells. Its unique formulation allows it to be directly added to the culture medium without affecting transfection efficiency in the presence of serum, reducing the potential damage caused by serum removal. After transfection, there is no need to remove the nucleic acid-GMTrans complexes or change to fresh medium, although it can be removed after 4-6 hours if needed.
GMTrans is provided in sterile liquid form. For a typical 24-well plate transfection, approximately 1.5 μL is used per transfection, and 1 mL of GMTrans can perform about 660 transfections. For a 6-well plate, about 6 μL per transfection is used, and 1 mL can perform approximately 160 transfections.
