        • CTDSP1 produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 280 amino acids (1-260 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 31.2kDa. CTDSP1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. CTDSP1 is a class 2C phosphatase with activity dependent on the conserved DxD motif. CTDSP1 preferentially catalyzes the dephosphorylation of 'Ser-5' within the tandem 7 residues repeats in the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit POLR2A. In addition, CTDSP1 negatively regulates RNA polymerase II transcription, possibly by controlling the transition from initiation/capping to processive transcript elongation.

          Formulation
          CTDSP1 solution (1mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1mM DTT, 20% glycerol and 0.1M NaCl.
          Storage
          Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
