      • Overview
        • In food and animal feed control the determination of levels of compounds such as mycotoxins plays a prominent role worldwide. Evaluation of the risk posed by mycotoxins is led by key authorities such as the World Health Organization and United Nations to establish maximum acceptable levels.
We offer a range of Immunoaffinity (IAC) columns to help in the determination of these substances. Our range offers many of the most frequently tested mycotoxins and vitamins to ensure the safety of food stuffs for human and animal consumption.

      • Applications
        • Application Description
Immunoaffinity chromatography (IAC) is a method for separating target analytes from a sample to measure the component of choice. The target analytes bind to specific antibodies on the column and are later eluted to measure the specific quantities by the user’s chosen method.
The eluate is typically measured by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

          Method Summary
Extraction: Whole sample ground and solubilised in a solvent solution, homogenised, and sampled
Enrichment: Sample is added to the column and subsequently washed
Elution: Bound target analyte is eluted using a specific buffer
Evaluation: The eluted sample can be measured by preferred method (e.g. HPLC, Mass spectrometry)
