Background
CD38 is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein, which is expressed in thymocytes, pre-T and B cells, activated T and B cells, plasma cells, monocytes, most NK cells, etc. It can be used to study the classification of acute leukemia and the role of activated T cells in autoimmunity and immune deficiency.
