BSND Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 290 amino acids (54-320) and having a molecular mass of 31.7kDa. BSND is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. BSND is a vital beta subunit for CLC chloride channels. These heteromeric channels are restricted to basolateral membranes of renal tubules and of potassium-secreting epithelia of the inner ear. BSND gene mutations are linked with Bartter syndrome with sensorineural deafness.
