Boron nitride works as the premier high-temperature electrical insulator, handling over 2000°C in a protective atmosphere. We have tested our BN99 grade to operate smoothly at 3500°C gas flow in an inert gas, although long-term use should remain under 2200°C based on survival tests. In a vacuum, it decomposes before melting at 1900°C. With these exceptional properties, boron nitride serves many applications in PVD coatings, high-temperature furnace systems, and semiconductor manufacturing.
With its excellent thermal and electrical insulation even at extreme temperatures, boron nitride ceramic is perfect for high-heat applications needing temperature resistance far surpassing traditional materials. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
