Betaine Homocysteine S-Methyltransferase Human Recombinant fused to His Tag at N-terminal produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 443 amino acids (21-236) and having a molecular mass of 49.2 kDa. The BHMT is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. Betaine-homocysteine methyltransferase (BHMT) is a cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of betaine and homocysteine to dimethylglycine and methionine, respectively. BHMT displays differential expression in a model of liver cirrhosis.
