For use as a selective pre-enrichment broth for the cultivation of ciprofloxacin-resistant E. coli and other gram negative rods.
Urologists use this as a rectal screening medium before they perform a prostate gland biopsy. The biopsy procedure is known for introducing resistant organisms into the bloodstream from the rectum. This media will allow urologists to screen the men first to see if they will be at risk of a “difficult to treat” infection or septicemia. To be used with plated media; either G358 or G258.Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
