Arg-C Protease is an endopeptidase that cleaves at the C-terminus of arginine (R) residues, including sites adjacent to proline (P). It can be used in combination with other proteases for proteomics and mass spectrometry analysis.
Physical Form: Mass spectrometry-grade Arg-C protease is provided as a lyophilized powder containing 0.25 mg trehalose, 0.1 µmol cysteine, and 2 µmol CaCl₂.
Reconstitution: Dissolve in 1 mM HCl containing 2 mM CaCl₂ to reconstitute.
Shelf Life: Stable for 12 months as lyophilized powder at –20°C.
Optimal pH Range: Exhibits maximum activity at pH 7.6–7.9.
Application: Arg-C protease specifically hydrolyzes C-terminal peptide bonds of arginine (R) residues in denatured proteins.
Cleavage Sites: N-glycans on ASNPlease contact us at for specific academic pricing.
