      • Overview
        • AP1S2 Human Recombinant produced in E. Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 177 amino acids (1-157a.a) and having a molecular mass of 20.7kDa. AP1S2 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. AP1S2 belongs to the adaptin protein family and functions as the small subunit of AP-1 complex 1 which is found in the cytoplasmic face of coated vesicles placed at the Golgi complex. AP-1 complex 1 facilitates both the necessity of clathrin to the membrane and the identification of organizing signals within the cytosolic tails of transmembrane receptors.
