IkappaB beta is a protein encoded by the IKBKB gene which is approximately 86, 5 kDa. IkappaB beta is localised to the cytoplasm and nucleus. It is involved in activated TLR4 signalling, TNFR1 pathways and toll-like receptor signalling pathways. It is a serine kinase that plays an essential role in the NF-kappa-B signalling pathway which is activated by multiple stimuli such as inflammatory cytokines, bacterial or viral products, DNA damages or other cellular stresses. IkappaB beta is highly expressed in the heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, kidney, spleen and thymus. Mutations in the IKBKB gene may result in immunodeficiency. STJ90313 is a synthesized peptide derived from human IkappaB-beta around the phosphorylation site of S23.This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous IkappaB-beta protein which only binds about S23 when S23 is phosphorylated.
