FoxO3A is a protein encoded by the FOXO3 gene which is approximately 71, 2 kDa. FoxO3A is localised to the cytoplasm and nucleus. It is involved in RET signalling, GAB1 signalosome, glioma and common cytokine receptor gamma-chain family signalling pathways. It is a transcriptional activator which triggers apoptosis in the absence of survival factors, including neuronal cell death upon oxidative stress. It also participates in post-transcriptional regulation of MYC. FoxO3A is expressed ubiquitously. Mutations in the FOXO3 gene may result in secondary acute leukemia. STJ90275 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous FoxO3A protein which only binds about S253 when S253 is phosphorylated.
