14-3-3 zeta/delta is a protein encoded by the YWHAZ gene which is approximately 27, 7 kDa. 14-3-3 zeta/delta is localised to the cytoplasm and melanosome. It is involved in the activation of cAMP-dependent PKA, development slit-robo signalling and activation of BH3-only proteins. It is an adapter protein implicated in the regulation of a large spectrum of both general and specialized signalling pathways. This is achieved through mediating signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. It also interacts with IRS1 protein, suggesting a role in regulating insulin sensitivity. 14-3-3 zeta/delta is expressed in the nervous system, intestine, skin, blood and eye. STJ90869 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous 14-3-3 zeta/delta protein which only binds about T232 when T232 is phosphorylated.
