Antigen Distribution: The CD44 antigen is present on B-cells, monocytes, macrophages and certain subsets of thymocytes and peripheral T-cells. Mice with the Ly-24.1 allotype have high densities of CD44+ T-cells, while Ly-24.2 strains are low expressors. The antibody cross reacts with: Ms+, Hu+, Bov+, Mky+, Bab+, Dog+, Cat, Porcine
Specificity: Anti-CD44 In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin (IM7) recognizes an epitope common to alloantigens & all isoforms of CD44, that is located between amino acids 145 and 186
Purification method: This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.

Background
CD44 is a 80-95 kD glycoprotein also known as Hermes, Pgp1, H-CAM, or HUTCH. It is expressed on all leukocytes, endothelial cells, hepatocytes, and mesenchymal cells. As B and T cells become activated or progress to the memory stage, CD44 expression increases from low or mid levels to high levels. Clone IM7 antibody has been shown to neutralize CD44 in vivo
