Stains human hepatocytes and the majority of human hepatocarcinomas. In frozensections, it stains the cytoplasm of hepatic cells and may be used as a marker of the liver. Cellpreparations of hepatocellular carcinoma biopsies or cell lines are found to bind EP-2 on the cellsurface. Monoclonal antibodies to liver cell processes are useful in the identification of hepaticcarcinomas and normal organ structures. Two monoclonal antibodies to different liver substructuresare offered which bind to subsets of hepatic carcinomas.
