It can also been isolated from the stones of rosaceous fruits, such as apricots, peaches, almond, cherries, and plums.Amygdalin is a cyanide containing glycoside which has beend used as a substrate to characterize a variety of enzymes, including maltases, emulsins and β-glucosidases.
