Aflatoxin levels in grain, food and feed are subject to strict regulations in more than 60 countries. AflaCheck is a qualitative one-step test kit for the detection of total aflatoxins (B1, B2, G1 and G2) in a variety of samples. Employing highly sensitive and specific monoclonal antibodies, the test strips detect the presence of total aflatoxin at either 10 parts per billion (ppb) or 20ppb using a specific method to detect at the target threshold value.
Inclded with AflaCheck Test Kit: AflaCheck Test Strip (25), extraction tubes (25), strip test pipettors (50), strip test dilution tubes (25), paper strip test rack, AflaCheck Instruction Guide

Background
Aflatoxin, a toxin from a naturally occurring mold, is a Group 1 carcinogen proven to cause cancer in humans. The United States federal government action level for aflatoxin in food for human consumption or in dairy cowfeed is 20 ppb. For milk for human consumption the level is 0.5 ppb. Levels up to 300 ppb are allowed in certain circumstances for nondairy animal feed. The European Union’s aflatoxin regulations for groundnuts, tree nuts, dried fruit, spices, and cereals include limits as low as 4 ppb total aflatoxins and 2 ppb for aflatoxin B1. Some EU member states have also separately established their own maximum limits on aflatoxins.
