Accutase® is a ready-to-use cell detachment solution composed of proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes. It can replace trypsin/EDTA during cell passages. It can also be used on cells in suspension to reduce their agglutination for counting.
Accutase® has been shown to be effective on a wide range of primary cells and cell lines, such as fibroblasts, keratinocytes, vascular endothelial cells, hepatocytes, vascular smooth muscle cells, bone marrow stem cells, adherent CHO and BHK cells, 293 cells, L929 cells, 3T3 cells, Vero, HeLa.
Main advantages of Accutase:
· Less damaging to cells
· Increased cell viability
· Reduced risk of introducing adventitious agents
· Significant reduction of all mammalian or bacterial derived proteins
· Increased efficiency of cell seeding
· Improved cell morphology and proliferation
· Especially useful for cells grown in a serum/protein-free culture environment. Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
