7-O-(Cbz-N-amido-PEG4)- paclitaxel contains a Cbz-protected amine moiety which can be deprotected under acidic conditions. The paclitaxel molecule is used to treat certain types of cancers. The hydrophilic PEG spacer makes the compound more compatible with aqueous media.
