3-(Azido-PEG5-amino)propanol is a PEG derivative which contains an azide moiety and a terminal hydroxyl group. The azide is commonly used for copper-catalyzed Click Chemistry reactions with alkynes, DBCO and BCN to form triazole linkages. The hydroxyl group can be reacted to further derivatize the compound. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of compounds in aqueous media.
