The enzymatic dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) of racemic 2-methyl-1-indanone has been studied. The asymmetric α-arylation and hydroxymethylation of 2-methyl-1-indanone has been reported. It participated in the synthesis of 2-methyl-6-carboxyazulene.
