The Strep-tag technology is a widely used protein tag in affinity chromatography. There are two types of Strep tags-the eight amino acid Strep-tag ll(W-S-H-P-Q-F-E-K) and the Twin-Strep-tag(S-A-W-S-H-P-Q-F-E-K-G-G-G-S-G-G-G-S-G-G-S-A-W-S-H-P-Q-F-E-K), a tandem version of the Strep-tag. The renovated Streptactin-XT Magarose Beads has the following characteristics:

The affinity to recombinant proteins containing Strep II tags is in the nM range.
The affinity to recombinant proteins containing TwinStrep II tags is in the pM range.
• Buffer Tolerance
Tolerant to a variety of buffer conditions and additives (high salt, detergents, reducing agents, metal ions and chelating agents).
• Biotin Tolerant
D-biotin in the sample below 50 uM will not affect the binding of the target protein to the product.
• Easy Elution
Fast elution by 50 mM biotin
• Reusable
Regeneration up to 5 times by 3 M MgCl2 or 10mM NaOH with no effects on performance of the product.
