SensiStain™ Anti-p53 Antibody is in ready-to-use format. Tumor protein 53 or p53 acts as a tumor suppressor and transcription factor involved in various activities such as DNA repair, cell-cycle arrest and apoptosis as a response to DNA damage and other stress factors. Malignant tumors involving tissues such as breast, ovary, bladder, colon, lung and melanoma have been found to be associated with mutations in p53. Anti-p53 staining has been found to be useful in differentiating uterine serous carcinoma and endometrioid carcinoma.
