Assay Principle
RBP Assay is based on a latex enhanced immunoturbidimetric assay. RBP in the sample bind to the specific anti-RBP antibody, which is coated on latex particles, and causes agglutination. The degree of the turbidity caused by agglutination can be measured optically and is proportional to the amount of RBP in the sample. The instrument calculates the RBP concentration of a sample by interpolation of the obtained signal of a 5-point calibration curve.
Features
Retinol Binding Protein (RBP) is a dual liquid stable reagent system which provides reliable results. The method requires only 3 μL of sample, completed in less than 10 minutes, and has excellent correlation with existing commercial products with R2 of 0.9545, a slope of 1.0056 and a y intercept of 2.672. The assay has within-run precision values of less than 1.2% and a total precision value less than 3.2%.Please contact us at for specific academic pricing.
